The curriculum endorsement process
Once the initial application process has been completed, through our Curriculum endorsement tool (Which is an online application form, which you can be accessed through your EdHat login), you can apply for your preferred curriculum via the Curriculum endorsement tool.
For any subsequent applications, please complete a separate Application Form (Existing Customer) from your EdHat portal.
The EdHat Curriculum endorsement tool is a sophisticated tool that provides all the necessary information regarding the requirements to conduct each EdHat qualification in your centre. After receiving your request, there will be a validation process, which has two main stages.
Process overview
Stage 01: Operational Feasibility Check
In this stage the EdHat validation team will check your establishment’s operational feasibility to conduct your preferred qualification. Here we need to ensure that, you have all the physical resources to deliver the preferred qualification.
- Class rooms
- Laboratories
- Technical infrastructure
- Health and Safety requirement for learners
- Supporting environment - Library access, counselling support, provision for disabled learners and student services.
Stage 02: Academic Feasibility Check
After Stage 01 approval, the validation team will undertake the validation process for Academic feasibility.
- Are there sufficient academic resources to deliver the curriculum?
- What resources are available for face-to-face learning and remote learning? What is the delivery plan for each?
- How will you deliver programmes to learners with a disability?
- What academic support is available for learners?
If your centre does not meet EdHat requirements, you will be notified by the validation team of the remedial work which needs to be undertaken. You will have a maximum of one month to undertake the necessary remedial work. After the remedial work has been undertaken, you should notify EdHat, and our validation team will check that the requirements have been met before proceeding with the approval.
Once the approval process is successfully completed, you will be notified, and delivery of the approved curriculum can be commenced.
Given the validation process may take some time, PROVISIONAL approval for CEP will be provided once the initial application process has been approved. This will allow you to undertake promotion of the selected curriculum. All promotional material at this stage must clearly state that it is "Subject to Approval"
Stage 03: Customisation requirement feasibility Check (Optional)
Some centres may feel it beneficial to integrate their own modules into the EdHat standard curriculum. This is known as a hybrid delivery. In this case, you should submit the module descriptors to EdHat for academic review. If satisfactory, approval will be given.
If further information, or remedial work is deemed necessary, you will be notified via email. You will have ten working days to resubmit the documentation for approval. Alternatively, you can request the EdHat academic team to undertake the work, for an additional fee.
Please note that your centre is only allowed to submit a maximum of two modules for each curriculum. When the validation process is completed, the EdHat administration team will notify you the results via an email and the finance department at EdHat will send you the initial invoice for your payments. Annually you have a fee for continuation.
After your payments are clear from the finance department, the Academic team will get in touch with you on the initial processes to start delivery. At the same time, the administration team will get in touch with you on our CEP administration via your administration portal
