Entry requirements

Programmes of EdHat International Higher Diploma are designed particularly for those students who have recently been in education with an entry profile as follows:

Relevant NQF Level 3 qualifications or

An access to Higher Education certificate awarded by an approved Further Education institution or equivalent.

EdHat International Higher Diploma programmes may also be accessed by those with previous relevant learning and/or work experience. In such cases the entry profile may include:

Accreditation of Prior Certified Learning (APCL) which gives recognition to learning which has been formally assessed and for which a certificate has been awarded other than those listed above; or

Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning (APEL) which gives recognition to knowledge and skills developed through different types of experience, such as work and voluntary activities. Mature students may present a more varied profile of achievement that is likely to include extensive work experience.

  • Completion of at least one year of study at a recognised university with passing grades or better
  • Completion of a 2 or 3 year Bachelor Degree with a recognised university with passing grades or better

  • A completed award with a minimum total score of 24 or above in the International Baccalaureate

  • Completion of the first year of a recognised university bachelor degree
  • Completion on the National College Entrance Examination Gaokao with a minimum score of 60% of the total maximum Gaokao score for the province.

  • Completion of the China Senior High School Middle Year 3 Gaosan with an average of 80% across the top four academic subjects.

  • A completed award with a minimum total score of 24 or above in the International Baccalaureate

Hong Kong

The HKDSE aggregate is based on the four core subjects, Chinese Language, English Languages, Mathematics and Liberal Arts, and the best grade in one Category A elective subject Category B and C subjects are not counted. b Grades for all subjects except Mathematics are counted as follows: Level 5** and Level 5* = 6, Level 5 = 5, Level 4 = 4, Level 3 = 3, Level 2 = 2 and Level 1 = 1.

  • Successful completion of the Korea Republic College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT) with a minimum overall grade of 294. Overall grade is calculated from the results in Korean Language, Mathematics and Foreign Language (English). Results in other components are not considered
